Erasmus Travel Award
Erasmus travelled 24 out of the 25 CEMS countries. In every country he visited, the respective hosting CEMS clubs filmed and photographed his adventures and uploaded these on a blog. Unfortunately Erasmus did not make it to Brazil. Due to time pressure, he had to end his journey in Switzerland. Actually this is quite remarkable, as the real Desiderius Erasmus, while born in Rotterdam, passed away in Basel, Switzerland. In November, all 2795 CEMS students were asked to vote for their favourite upload. RSM was of course excluded from the competition; moreover, no votes were allowed for the home school, nor for the exchange school.
Runner up was the CEMS Club Budapest – and the Winner of the Erasmus Travel Award is CEMS Club Lisbon of Faculdade de Economia da Universidade NOVA de Lisboa!
In line with the CEMS spirit and its focus on social responsibility, and in honour of Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Muhammad Yunus who attended the CEMS Annual Events in Rotterdam, the runner up has received 200€ and the winning CEMS club has received 300€ to spend on a micro credit project of their respective choice.
